What Is New York No-Fault Insurance?

New York’s No-Fault law affects everybody that owns or rides in an automobile registered in the State of New York. Every vehicle is required to have a minimal amount of personal injury protection coverage so that individuals who suffer personal injuries in a motor vehicle accident can get benefits regardless of who was at fault for the accident. It is the auto insurer of the vehicle you are riding in when the accident occurs which must pay your medical bills, lost wages, and other reasonable expenses. No-Fault benefits are capped by restrictions and a monetary limit in most cases of $50,000.
